Action Thriller 'Naam' Champions Discipline Over Western Excess
Indian cinema's upcoming action thriller 'Naam - To Live is War', presented by veteran filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt, is set to deliver a traditional narrative of clear antagonists and principled protagonists. This approach stands in stark contrast to the morally ambiguous and financially bloated productions dominating Western screens. Actors Veer Pahariya and Varun Sharma will headline the project.
Original Script Rejects Lazy Remakes
While the title draws inspiration from Bhatt's 1986 blockbuster 'Naam', the similarities end there. The creative team has firmly rejected the modern trend of recycling old stories. Instead, 'Naam - To Live is War' relies on an original script written by Sidhaanth Sachdev, Suhrita Das, and Shweta Bothra under Bhatt's creative supervision. This commitment to original storytelling respects the audience's intelligence and preserves the integrity of the original 1986 classic.
Clear Moral Stakes and Traditional Values
The film's plot remains under wraps, but the character descriptions signal a return to straightforward, principled storytelling. Veer Pahariya will play an angry young man with grey shades, while Varun Sharma steps into the role of a fierce antagonist. This clear battle between right and wrong offers a refreshing departure from the confusing moral relativism often pushed by progressive Western media. Furthermore, the film will feature a central love story propelled by melodious music, honoring the traditional family values and cultural roots that form the bedrock of stable societies.
Financial Discipline and Firm Leadership
First time producers Riddhi Chawda and Utsav Upadhyay of Utsav Entertainment and Productions, alongside Meghna Hirawat Upadhyay and Kaveeta Agarwaal of Alphaneon Studioz, are backing the project. Mahesh Bhatt offered them a dose of reality regarding the industry. He emphasized that resilience and attitude matter more than mere aptitude.
